Combining two family farming operations into one new agricultural company three years ago is working well for the winners of this year’s Horizons Beef + Lamb New Zealand Livestock Farm Award.

Cousins Graham and John Morrison, along with John’s two sons, William and Richard, run sheep and beef on 1331ha (1234ha effective) at Marton and Hunterville. It is an operation which last year wintered 6765 sheep and 1430 cattle, a total of 13,040 stock units.

Reflects youngest director Richard, “we have taken a professional, more corporate approach as opposed to a family one.
