A new community group has bold ambitions for a Rangitīkei town.
The Marton Development Group, led by a group of parents, was launched in August, with the sole intention of building “positive focal points” for children.
The group has unveiled its intention on Facebook to build a $700,000 playground in Marton’s Memorial Park, although no requests for funding have been made.
It was no typical playground, member Laura Morrison said, with it set to provide children with several creative, dynamic and sensory experiences.
